Access to the Digital Library of the URV
Definition
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili provides the University Community with a Service for Accessing the Digital Library of the URV (SABiDi) which enables users to connect to the URV's Digital Library (electronic journals, electronic books and databases) at any time and from any location.
The SABiDi is governed by the Regulations governing access to the Digital Library . By accessing and using the service, users are implicitly and unconditionally aware of and understand all of these conditions.
Configuration Guide
Access requitements :
The Digital Library of the URV can be accessed by anybody who has the right to do so, as defined in chapter III of the Regulations governing access to the Digital Library, and who has a username and password.
Accessing the Digital Library:
In order to access the Digital Library, you have to go to the home page of the CRAI website. Once on the web, you only have to use the different links, Databases, eBooks, Catalog, etc. to access. If the Resource you are looking for is restricted, you will see the SABiDi validation screen. If you have the Resource saved in your browser, use the button "SABiDi"
Summary of Steps:
1) Access CRAI Homepage
2) Use links and applications of the CRAI to go to the Electronic Resource.
3) If the Electronic Resource is restricted, you will see the SABiDi validation screen.
- You must enter your credentials (Username and Password)
- You must accept the Access to the Digital Library Regulations. This step will only be necessary to do it the first time you access through SABIDI, and later, you will be asked to accept the regulations once per year.
4) It is important that you close the browser or the session when you finish.: https://sabidi.urv.cat/logout
Tutorial for Accessing the Digital Library of the URV
User Login and Password :
Your username and password are the same as the ones that you use to access the digital services of the University (intranet, email, virtual campus, etc.). If you want to change your password, you can use the Identity Manager application.
If you don't remember your password:
• Access Forgotten Aplication Password and using the University card (Santander Bank card) or alternative mail.
Log out:
The session will close after two hours of inactivity or if you write in the URL field https://sabidi.urv.cat/logout .

Pregunt@ is an online information service open to anyone who has a question regarding the services, resources, organisation, activities and functioning of the URV and the CRAI.
Characteristics
The main characteristics of the Service for Accessing the Digital Library (SABiDi) of the URV are:
— The programme is based on the EZproxy software by OCLC.
— Browsers do not need to be configured.
— You can log in when you enter the Digital Library of the URV.
— It can be used to browse the internet.
— It can be used to generate access policies for different groups and according to usage statistics for the digital library.
Responsabilities
The CRAI of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili contracts commercial information resources solely for the purposes of learning, teaching and research; therefore, the service may not be used for the purposes of making a profit or for activities that are external to the University.
The licences for contracting these resources stipulate that they may only be accessed by the members of the University Community of the URV described in Chapter II of the Regulations governing access to the Digital Library of the URV.
Furthermore, these resources must also be used in a respectful manner in accordance with chapters IV and V of the Regulations governing access to the Digital Library of the URV.
As the provider of this service, the Universitat Rovira i Virgili is responsible for ensuring that its users comply with the regulations and has the power to take action against any act of non-compliance.
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili is not responsible under any circumstances for the manner in which this service may be used by it users, even if they contravene the current legislation, act offensively or in bad faith, or act in support of antisocial activities.
Likewise, the Universitat Rovira i Virgili is not responsible for any interference with or fraudulent modification of any information by users or third parties. The Universitat Rovira Virgili is also not responsible for any action that threatens privacy or confidential communication.
In all instances, the Universitat Rovira i Virgili reserves the right to take any action that it considers necessary against any person or entity whose actions or omissions may harm its interests or its image.
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili may introduce any changes to the provision of this service that it considers necessary, including cancellation. In such circumstances, the Universitat Rovira i Virgili is not responsible for any resulting damage that may be alleged by the user. In all instances, before any modifications are applied, they must be communicated via the appropriate channels (usually by email) to ensure maximum dissemination among the service's users.
